You're so right! I always took that "replace both lamps at the same 
time" bit to be 100% marketing... buy two when you only need one! But 
it's only... 20% marketing... the do seem to burn out within a month or 
two of each other, and on my AMerican, I replaced one, the other died 
within a week. From now on I'll always do both!
