Got my Moates AutoPROM all working, finally. Found an old laptop at work 
to put Win XP Pro on and that solved software issues. Got the EPROM out 
of the ECM, read out a copy for safe keeping, then got emulation working 
and also collected data from the ALDL connector. NOW! I can tweak the 
ECM to really work with the 232 in my Classic, instead of a 258. It runs 
  rich, etc. I hope to at least set for the correct displacement (BPW) 
tomorrow.

Slooooowly grinding towards the goal of a junkyard TBI setup on the 
American... so far, it looks like it should be easy to put together a 
"how to". It's simply not that complicated, but there's a lot of trivia 
to untangle because there are so damn many ECMs out there, so much 
disinformation, so much misunderstanding... and so many choices.
