I know it's cool, but the Twin Stick T-96 second gear ratio sucks, the stock ratio is much, much better suited. I'm so glad I replaced it! The Twin Stick second gear is closer to first, to allow a big spread between second and third such that second-overdrive is "useful". (2nd-over with the standard ratio is only 5% less than 3rd-no-OD). But the close second is a waste otherwise. Second is now far more useful in town; before, I was never in the right gear! It matches the power band of the engine. I was always "over-revving" (so it seemed, though not really) in nd to get to third on anything like a mild hill. It's now effortless, not even a thought required. PS: The bad clutch noise, which began after a car-wash chassis cleaning, went away with an hour of freeway driving. _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
