[Amc-list] ot:first attempt at drag racing

well, it aint an amc, but the price was right... free..."haul it away". last night i got given a 76 ford ranchero with a 400 in it. has what look like 1 3/4 headers on it. i got that crane fireball 302A cam/lifters (still dont know specs) that i think is a high rpm cam by how it ran in my 351M in my 77 f250. got an extra set of heads to hog out, and play with. the car is strait as could be, interior is REALLY nice. but, its a 76 ranchero. i dont think any value really. could be fun toy to start the drag racing hobby in. looking for a single plane intake to go on it. i got a holley 750 double sucker to put on it also. and everyone knows how the imagination goes from there.... solid roller cam, roller rockers, high comp pistons/heads, stall converters, trans vavlebody, rear gears, ect..... dang, someone wanna loan me about $10,000 to get this car into the 10's????
