Ray, just how much do you REALLY like that car? By the time the girls get in their early teens they won't want to be around parents so much! Might be hard to find one then... A lot of people in the 70s and early 80s installed Gremlin rear seats for their small kids. By the time they get in their early teens they've outgrown the seat due to leg and head room, but until then it's just enough room. The only thing that's semi-permanent is the mounting brackets, especially the ones for the folding back. I'd drill the pop rivets then screw the things in with self-drilling screws, or drill and use rivets. Easy to remove and cover later if you want to remove the seat. ------------- Date: Mon, 21 Jul 2008 16:38:09 -0500 From: Ray Mick <rmick@xxxxxxx> Friends and Family, I have finally succumb to the wishes of the girls and decided to sell Maxine. With four young girls in the house (who want to go every where daddy does) it is simply not practical to own a 2 seater any longer. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Motors Cars" Magazine (AMC) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AMC.html (free download available!) _______________________________________________ Amc-list mailing list Amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://splatter.wps.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/amc-list
