Here we go again! :-)

(THere was a lot of oil filter discussions not long ago.)

Broad consensus is that Fram is at the BOTTOM of the list. It
was once a quality brand, how they got popular in the first
place, but that is long ago and now they make substandard
crap. Many tales of leaking and seam-splitting. Some tales of
discovering internal filter ends broken, circulating dirty oil
and not filtering. Some people though do say "I have not had
a problem with them". Your call.

Wix near top of list; NAPA Gold filter made by WIX. Purolator,
AC-DELCO near top of list. They cost more.


My two cents: something as critical as engine lubrication is
not the place to cheap out.
