I was parting out a 65 American here at home recently
and I compared the dash length to the Hornet dash
"gap" in the car I got from Tom J. Tom had removed
that dash. There was a significant differnce in
length.  I think the American dash was about four or
five inches longer than the Hornet dash would need to
be.  

I was also considering putting a metal dash in the
Hornet.  I susequently sold that dash though.
