Re: [Amc-list] Blast It All...

I had a small bench top unit before this floor size one and I tried making up a filter on the inlet in the cabinet.

It worked real well, but I could only blast about 10 minutes before it plugged completely!

I do want to get an actual unit that will handle the cabinet.

I haven't been using it due to things, so no hurry at all.

If you have cab with no light you can use a simple glass jar with lid.
Rivet the lid to the inside of the cab. Drill it and mount a lamp base in the lid.
Put a small appliance bulb in the socket, screw the jar over it. Run a piece of inner tube or tape over the joint between the lid to keep media out or you'll never get the jar off!
If you use an old mason jar they are plenty stout.
The glass is inside the cab so it's pretty safe.
a friend has been using this setup for years with no issues.
Just mount it up high in a corner out of the way so you don't break it.
