Too late! I already got all the nasty old rust and paint off of

My 5HP compressor (it's a Coleman and was inexpensive but it does have a 
cast iron cylinder liner and you can change the oil, both of which add 
to the life) did just fine with it. Plus, once you have a compressor, 
you can buy an impact wrench and snap bolts off much faster than by hand.
