Jerry, I have been running the Indy SR heads since they came out and I like them a lot. I have mine flowing in the range of 314 intake and 245 exhaust. They are well designed and so far have been shown to be good castings not to mention they shaved 60lbs off the engine. Both trans are good but you will have to build them according to your engine or neither one will live. If you are going to shoot it with that much nitrous, you will need a good converter with balloon plates front and back and not the cheaper off the shelf converters. Also, the trans will need some beefing up especially if you plan to spray it off the line. If you use the 727, start with one out of a wagon or car with the tow package. They typically have a larger capacity 1st gear clutch drum then the standard 727s (I think 4 bands instead or 3 if I remember correctly). Just make sure your trani guy knows what you intend to put in front of it and how you will be using the car. I take it you want a car in the 9s by what you are building.
