" Unfortunately the bell and trans will only fit another Jeep four --
" or a Chevy four or small V-6. Should be a T-4 trans, or an AX-4.

it'll fit more gm engines; the caddy 4.1/4.5/4.9 and northstar both
have the little pattern, and the buick 3.8 was redesigned about the
time the poncho 151, early '80s. but the only '88s with t5s were the
leftover eagles, and the ax4/5 is only good for about 150 ft-lbs.

probably the new gm 3.5/3.6/3.8/3.9 v6s also match. i have strong
suspicions they're heavily based on the 2.8/3.1/3.4 family.
