I bow to your knowledge.
I would have never guessed that since I WROTE IT DOWN.
Since you seem to have been in that garage at 2:00am 20 years ago I will bow to your knowledge that the bypass was not stuck too.
   We used to break in on straight 30W oil back in the "old days". I don't recall blown oil filters happeing everytime we did so.
