Jeff...

I have a 90 GW and mine was doing the same thing to the point that it 
would not start
sometimes because it was too rich(flooding)....the guy I bought it from 
had spent over $400
getting the carb rebuilt not long before I got it.....I don't have smog 
check where I live so I changed
mine over to an Edelbrock performer intake and a 600 carb.....runs 
great.....very happy
with it now....good luck with your 2bbl problem....
