FineLines won't make a front set up for you? As we discussed earlier, from the junction block back should be almost the same for Wagner or Bendix. I believe the only lines that would need to be different are the ones between the MC, junction block, and right front wheel. 

I checked the 67 American TSM (since I had the time). The primary (front) bore of the Wagner MC is 1", the secondary bore is 7/8" -- stepped as you recalled. That means that the Wagner delivers a bit more pressure and slightly less volume to the rear wheel cylinders. The TSM states that the Wagner MC is used on non-power brake cars, the Bendix (1" bore straight through) is used on power brake cars. Rear wheel cylinders are the same size regardless of MC. So non-power brake cars get a little more pressure to the rear wheels. That's interesting -- 1/8" less bore size means 80-100 psi more to the rear brakes, which would seem to be detrimental to braking (rears would lock up a bit sooner), not a help. Makes you wonder what was going on here! 

I don't think it will matter which MC is used, given the specs in the TSM. Looks like AMC engineers just picked a Wagner MC off the shelf that was closest to what they wanted, or vice-versa (picked a close Bendix). Then again, they could have sent the car specs to Wagner and Bendix and let their engineers spec the MC... no way of knowing now.

Too bad there isn't an exact replacement for my 67. There is one other 
difference that is really important between the Bendix and Wagner master 
cylinders: The Wagner master uses a stepped bore design and if I 
remember correctly, that means different bore sizes in the wheel 
cylinders between Bendix and Wagner.
