I am replying on logic only, if i am wrong please someone correct me...  the sedan would have a full door, frame around the window glass.  I have heard the expression a 2dr post to describe this configuration as well.  a hardtop would only be a (lower) door, no "car body" framing to the glass.  therefore the sedan window sweeps would be shorter in length than a hardtops..  as the hardtops sweeps would have to run the horizontal length from the vent window to the edge of the door where it meets the rear shell of the car body.
