My Ford pickup used to do kinda the same thing. After an overnight rainstorm 
and very high humidity the thing just refused to start. Let it sit until the 
humidity burned off and it would start fine. Turns out the spark plugs were 
gapped 0.100" (was like that when I bought it) and the plug wires were lying 
across the valve covers. When it was damp it was easier for the arc to 
occour through the wire jacket to the valve cover than jump that 0.100" gap 
in the plug.
