Re: [Amc-list] "A Pacer in Your Future"

I don't remember D&D having a Pacer in it either!
As far as Pacers go, they are the same as any other car, all usually have some "thing" that attract certain types of people.
I went to school with a kid who had a small block 4 speed Camaro, late 70's. He totalled it out and his insurance check was just enough he could buy this used burgandy Pacer sitting on his uncles used car lot. His insurance was going way up ebcause of the accident and the six cylinder Pacer would allow him to not carry full coverage and it was a Pacer, so he would not be taking any "performance car" premiums...
He did not like the car, but it would allow him to drive instead of walk and it's all he could aford as mom & dads bank had closed after he totalled the Camaro!
By the time he'd had that Pacer a few weeks he loved it! I mean he would tell people how great it was and try to talk them into buying one! If he saw one for sell, he'd be telling you where it was!
They are a nice car to drive as they are indeed fish bowls as designed. Low squat wide, very stable.
I'm trying to think if I've ever seen one rolled? I'll bet they do roll, but not often.
