Re: [Amc-list] Suggested maximum long-term cruise RPM for 195.6OHV?

I rememebr how amazed at the pathetic rpm potential of the 196 in stock form when i stuck a tach on one in my 63 Classic! Wow was it pathetic, I thought the tach was broke! I'd floor it in nuetral and it would scream reaching a whopping 4200 rpm and flatten out.
I was 17 and never fooled with trying to make it run. I didn't think it was worth the effort at the time.
I still don't know if I could bring myself to do much to one...
