I buy a lot of non-mundane (tune up and basic mechanical) stuff from 
Kennedy American. I have also purchased from American Parts Depot and 
Galvin's. I've also got a bunch of stuff from eBay and various swap 
meets over the years. Besides the list mentioned on the AMX-Files, 
there's a vendor listing at 
http://theamcforum.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=27 and one at 
http://www.planethoustonamx.com.

There are also some specialty vendors I've used over the years (for 
example, transmission parts and fuel pump rebuilding) that I learned 
about from the AMC Rambler Club's parts source guide. There are also 
lots of services that aren't make specific (like chroming and clock 
repair). Besides the parts source guide, Hemmings Motor News is a good 
place to look for these services (make sure to get recommendations, 
there are some really bad places out there) and this list has been a 
great source of recommendations.
