A: '84 to '87 would be 904 3 speed auto with the 60 degree housing (I have 
one of those in my for sale pile that has the hole for crank position sensor 
and flexplate as I was going to convert my '86 MJ to auto 4x4. First $75 
takes it, but I'd consider it a core after sitting 7 years)
