I've seen some on evilbay from time to time.
My dad always just grabbed a reciever hitch from the pile they'd taken of trade ins and welded things to it till it fit!

The 65 Ambassador Conv will get one tucked up behind the bumper while I'm building it.
My dad built a couple that way. He would built  a C shaped piece with two flat plates and a square tube. Place the tube as High as he could get it then weld the receiver down lower just below the license plate. The thru bolt it into the subframes. He towed some rather large travel trailers behind 60's Ambassadors.
   Any competant welder can make you one if push comes to shove!!!

The only real issue expect with mine is it may compromise the fuel tank. Which with the size of the trunk in the Ambassador of that year, well, I'll put a fuel cell in it if nothign else works!!!

I'm glad I finally have a plan in place for the conv. It's always better to know where you're headed!!!
