[Amc-list] Metal Thieves... Fwd: MY RAMBLER WAS STOLEN! - TEXAS

My land is WAY out in the country, you have to go down three dirt 
roads (two of which are not maintained) and no one lives really close 
to it.  There used to be 4 mobile homes somewhat near but, they have 
been reduced to a pile of trash by copper wire thieves.

They stole radiators and building supplies also so, it was definitely 
thieves.  I had some 4x6's put into the ground in concrete to build 
my roof and they stole them out of the ground!!  Of course, they left 
the roll of chain-link fence and barbed wire I had in a pile next to 
everything.  These guys are idiots!

Bastrop County Sheriff's office told me that they are having a really 
bad outbreak of metal thieves now (especially wire) and it's out of 
control.  They said that empty houses last about a week before being 
destroyed for the wires.

The Sheriff also said that the metal thieves are holding onto stuff a 
longer period of time now so, it's unlikely that the car has been 
scrapped.  It is probably heading for the scrap yard though.
