Subject: Re: [Amc-list] Another Bad Experience with Fedex To: "AMC/Rambler owners, drivers and fans." <amc-list@xxxxxxxxxxxx> I think a human factor operates here -- if the box is 80 lbs it's "heavy item" and gets handled differently. Two 40 lb boxes might work better. I had UPS "lose" a set of leaf springs from ESPO. Since they were heavy instead of lifting them onto a shelf they kicked them under the shelf. Lost for weeks. If they can't handle the big stuff they shouldn't accept them. =;.= I watched via their 'Tracking' feature, my 6speed Lexus LS430 Auto Trans. ship from Michigan to NJ, then proceed to ship 'n 'ride' to three different Fed Ex Depots - each time being returned to the first NJ Depot - nearly two weeks of riding around 'Jersey'... I called Fed Ex - they had no idea either - Trans. was 'Intercepted' and placed on a Truck to Newburgh NY - then shipped to New Paltz. It and the large V8 convertor arrived WITHOUT the packing crate I paid $100.00 for... Wasn't a scratch on either - so I loaded up the tranny 'n vertor into the Cherokee 'n went home - [ had it delivered to a local shop to save those $'s ]. Trans weighs alot less than that HEMI TorqueFlite I shipped to Cali. - that bastid gave me contra Alto - -- =Bt= milnersXcoupe -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
