[Amc-list] From: Wrambler242@xxxxxxxxxxx

A: Too bad you're not out here in WA. I have an XJ D35 with 3.73 for $50 (sans drums and needing a new pinion seal)

The only choice I can find for a replacement set of gears for
the T5 puts it at .81 overdrive ratio, this would put me
knocking on the door of 2500 rpm at 70 with 3:42's leaving
nothing leftover for faster cruising.
I may try the 3:73 axle out of a S-10 first. The gearset for the
T5 runs $360.00!
S-10 rear axles in 3:73 gears can be had pretty cheap if I stick
with drum brakes for now.
No hurry, I'm not planningon doing anythign fast right now. It
runs, it's good enough for now....
