Re: [Amc-list] PRD Radiators

Because it's the more efficient cross flow style if the outlet was put
where you indicate it would have pointed directly at the steering box,
although you weren't there for quality control we figured since there
was no way to effectively put a hose on it perhaps we'd put it where you
could. To make up for your trouble, anyone who is irritated by the
ability to put a lower hose on your radiator I'll happily buy you a beer
if you introduce yourself at a show or gathering. For an additional $280
there are alternatives like Griffin that include a petcock for those who
want the convenience.

Just so you know I'm giggling my ass off writing this, no hard feelings

Joe,
My radiator has a dent in the lower neck also. Poor packaging on a $300
purchase.
Yes the lower neck on mine is at a crazy angle too. I think the PRD guys
could have applied themselves a bit more and lowered the neck to the
bottom of the left side instead of 5 rows up. Too bad I wasn't there for
quality control. Rofl.
After I posted my pros and cons message I realized that the radiator has
no drain petcock !!
Looks like to drain the thing we will have to pull the lower hose off !!
That's what we get for
not asking, who makes a radiator without a drain petcock? Changing
coolant will be a much messier job.
Please post any tips you come up with in the hose fitment, I will do the
same.
Looks like you and I are the only dummies on the list, LOL.

Armand
