Parts are dirt cheap for htose last time I looked.
I shouldn't be hard to fix if it gives you trouble. The only thing that can be troubling is advance pin and shaft bushing wear. 
I'd probably take it apart, clean it good and use a light coat of good synthetic grease on all the bushings. The old stuf will likely be hard as a rock by now.
Last one I needed a bushing for I knocked a bushing out of an AMC delco six cylinder dist and moved it into the HEI. It worked fine for years! The AMC delco bushing was slightly shorter in height, but all the diameters were the same.
