Re: [Amc-list] most expensive piece of crap led on the planet

Could be a broken tach, sounds like it if it worked before.
Mine is complete and working. Still has a slight flutter to it below 1500 rpm.
You'd think for as friggin expensive as the Sport-Comp is that it would be nice and smooth.
I guess the air core movement is too accurate and picks up the voltage flutter at low rpms.
I haven't done the final picture taking yet, but it's all done!!! :] man is it sweet looking!!!
I'm very happy!!! Like real happy!!!
The blue leds provide the right amount of backlight for night time viewing, they don't dim at all though, Tom J said they would to some extent, well, not these ones, Off or on. But that's OK they match the Sony head units blue perfectly!!!
If the rain holds off tomorrow I will change the oil, check the tire pressure and take it out and calibrate the speedo.
   A NIT.
The ecu feeds just enough current into the check engine light to give it a very dim far off glow at all times when the engine is running. No big deal at all as I couldn't even see it till it got dark in the shop and I had the car started to check out the dash lights.
I'm beginning to think leds for indicators is a PIA and won't be happening in any future projects! The dash lighting is fine, the indicators just seem to hate me!!!
