And of all the earlier Ramblers, this is the one that's
the best built, most reliable, easiest to find parts for,
looks-old-but-looks-modern, clean, simple car. Fit and finish
are excellent on these years.

The only trouble spot maintenance-wise are the impossible strut
bushings, but those can be easily fabricated, as good as new
or better.

The problems with torque tubes is GREATLY overrated. They're
total brick sh*thouses, over-built and never fail (except the
usual wheel bearing wear and they're standard A2 or A6 bearings
and matching grease seals, easy to get and replace).

The big-car trunnions are MUCH better than the American
trunnions.  They're huge, practically do not wear (mine are
325,000 miles original and still like new) if they've been
greased at all throughout their life. They're most definitely
not a thing to be feared.

The power steering slave units are jet-aircraft complex (check
out the TSM procedures! Makes the auto-trans look like a carb
rebuild), but are very reliable, they often just end up leaking.

I've seen a couple of loaded models, they're really nice,
since they're some good frills on a solid, modest chassis. A
good combo.
