I've been getting those for some time. The few I checked
weren't even valid eBay items.

I'm sure YOU know, but the way to check this stuff is the
same for any of the bank scams etc -- manually type in the URL
for eBay, yuour bank, etc, log in, if it's real (unpaid item,
free money, etc) it'll be listed there. NEVER! click any links
in email!
