Re: [AMC-List] Need fuel pump info, car shows

Bob, the local parts places should be able to get a fuel pump, though they will probably have to order from the warehouse. Try the local NAPA first. You might have to use a 65 Jeep Wagoneer listing. If they don't have one, go to an AMC vendor such as www.ramblerparts.com or try www.kanter.com. If you're in a hurry bypass the original and use a universal electric pump. Mount it near the tank under the rear of the car, not under the hood. It won't be as detectible sight or noise wise, and they are really designed to push more than pull. Run a wire either from the ignition "run" lead or use a toggle switch. The toggle is a good theft deterent if hidden, but don't forget to cut it off!!
