You mean the Ford 8.8 rear?  Not the same axle as the 9".  Becoming very
popular with owners of Jeeps that carry the 5x4.5 bolt pattern because
of the discs, the parking brake provision you mentioned, as well as
being frequently found with factory 4.10's with a LSD.  I just picked
one up for my XJ.
