[AMC-List] Re Parts List

Hi, was just wondering if AMC ever put out a huge
numerical parts list by number, THEN by description.
Probably for their internal inventory, but thought
that would be a huge savings in time to look up parts
and descriptions, if you have a by-the-number book. I
have several Collision parts guides, but that's only
good if you know what the part is, and what year it
fits. Just curious if anyone out there in AMC-land has
seen such a listing.

The only thing I can think of are the AMC Parts Price Books.  These list the part numbers in order and give a short description.  The description is really short and will only tell you what the part is usually not what it fits.  It also tells if a part has been superseded with another part number.   I have never sen exactly what you are looking for.  By the way on the subject is there any rhyme or reason to the AMC parts numbering system?  Is there a way to tell what a part is by the part number?  Or were they just assigned in sequence?
