Hi My 1965 Ambo has been sitting in the garage since October 2005. (didn't even start it) So today I climbed in the driver's seat, cranked the ignition and backed the car into the driveway. But when the choke kicked down, the carb flooded. I've sprayed the bejesus outta the carb and choke linkage with carb cleaner to no avail. Is there something easy that I can try at home to solve the flooding problem? Or perhaps having the car towed to my mechanic is the solution. I should mention that when it comes to most car repairs, I'm a total klutz! Thanks David Parsons David, The simplest and first thing that comes to mind is that your carb float is stuck on one postion and the needle valve is held open. I suggest that you remove the air cleaner and rap on the carb a couple of times with a screwdriver handles or some similar object. Then start the car and see if the problem is solved. If it's not that, there could be a piece of debris caught in the needle valve or some other problem which could require disassembly of the carb. Regards, Joe Fulton
