Yes, well, you see, I have THREE AMC's, of which only the wagon is running, hence my reluctance to take it down for yet another "improvement". My '65 440 was sidelined after the 196 quit producing oil pressure. As I was rebuilding a jy replacement engine I came across my '69 390 Rambler (American) that I started to do things to like put in a 5 speed, redo the interior and such until I got to the point that I felt that to make it really nice and what I wanted, I needed to take it apart. So, it sits scattered in my garage (the '65 is still over in the garage at my rental house). I then located the wagon.

Let's face it, we're all into these old AMC's because we don't mind tinkering with them. They can be and are reliable, but the newest one I own is 37 yrs old!

I really think I need to be patient, find what I want that's basically done (they all need tinkering), and then buy it or trade, whatever, but leave my old '67 alone. The problem is, I really like the body style of the wagon, and my mind gets to working overtime. I have engines and transmissions sitting around...
