I hadn't looked at HOT ROD for probably close to a decade; last I recall, it was "A: Ford B: Chevy C: None of the above" and pretty much 'construction' sales articles. Still a lot of both, but a lot more readers-rides and (gasp) even inline motors mentioned. Well. IMHO an editor does make a difference. I think much of the change in Hot Rod has been due to David Frieburger (sp?). He just likes cars. Fast cars. I think at last count he had 18. Hot Rod, for instance, hadn't really covered land speed racing in many years. Last August Frieburger was at Bonneville, racing (I think.) a Monte Carlo with a turbocharged engine on the long track.
