Texas-4 sale on cragis list

That is my old 68 Ambassador. 343 2V, I bought it from the original owners in Victoria, TX. Painted it original color it was a goor running and driving car. However, for some reason, when you would get it out on the highway it would overheat and blow antifreeze everywhere. I changed the radiator out with a new one, got rid of the thermostat (I run ALL my cars with no thermostat) and this seemed to solve the problem a little. I sold it to a lady from Austin, would have to look at my records, but met her 1/2 in Columbus, TX and sold it for $1400.

The interior didn't look like that seats wise as they were mint. For someone looking for a FIRST AMC......or considering buying a good, solid Texas AMC that is 36 years old, this would be a great starter. It was a excellent daily driver the year I owned it, and as mentioned, only seemed to freak out and overheat when pushed 65mph+. I guess in hindsight, when I drove it was in Houston traffic, however driving it 13 miles to work never would exceed 60mph anyhows, to, or from, so never gave me problems. The bigger problem was listening to AM radio, there is only so much Hillary Duff and Britney I can stand before hurling.

It would not take much for someone to have a super, top of the line 68 Ambassador, hope it finds a good home!
