Yeah, Frank, I thought of welding the tank. Not sure it is a real good idea. Seems likely that it will likely fail somewhere nearby soon. I'm also a bit cocerned about it blowing the plate off and send a piece of shrapnel bouncing around. It is enclosed though, so it should stay contained. I may give it a try. I finished up the right firewall corner today. It came out real nice and I'm 100% sure that it is as stronger or stronger then when it left the factory 40 years ago! A couple of small floor patches and I'll be on to the driver's side corner. -- Mark Price markprice242ATadelphia.net Morgantown, WV 10 Message:0010 10 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Fri, 17 Mar 2006 10:18:57 -0500 From: farna@xxxxxxx Subject: Re: OT: 4.7 knowledge To: mail@xxxxxxxxxxxx Message-ID: <ADVANCES62k7V1vHGJZ00000118@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Hey Mark, have you ever considered draining the air tank and welding the hole up?
