http://wps.com/AMC/1970-AMC-Hornet/Mar2006.html Finally got to take some photos, still missing window trim here and other details, but pretty close to together. Turns out that after some Autosol, the rear bumper looks pretty good. The front is crap; metal OK, plating ruinous. Headlamp doors are crap. So Dave & Sam did make some mistakes, pass. door when closed chipped paint on the trailing edge, they didn't adjust the hinges. Did that, will have to touch up. But somehow, they jacked the car from the gas tank, and bonked it in! Very strange. I discovered this bass-ackwards... The first day driving, I ran out of gas. Guage said 1/4 tank, the guage has always worked as well as these things do. Call AAA, add 3 gal, drive to a gas station, etc. Next day the gas gauge falls to empty. Put in 8 gals, clearly not out of gas. Crawl under to look and find the tank has been pushed in, with vertical scrape marks. I'm sure it's ruined the float. The '73 Hornet parts car tank doesn't fit; same design, except the filler neck on the 70 is attached, on the 73 there's a grommet and the neck slides in. In a severe pinch I may be able to adapt it (the fillers are very different). I'll go back in the AM to talk to them about it, but likely they'll know nothing about it; the main guys there are pretty competent, but who knows what help they've hired around the edges.
