Rich Teague s'aved' Packard with his face-lifts using the 'high-pocket' designed inner-skins and 're-skinning' the vehicles to produce the 1955-1956 Packard line of Automobiles. These are 'critically acclaimed' designs - which if arriving in a better economic climate - could have s'aved' Packard from Extinction, at least for awhile. >From looking at Packards' 'Forward Looking' styling, Packard would have arrived into the 1960s being very much into the Lincoln camp - being somewhat 'Extravagent' in their Top of the Line models. Who is to say what would have happened with their CLIPPER line of cars > which was aimed somewhat at the Traveling Salesman type of the mid-'50s . "Teagues' Cormorant" cleanly states to me as being that PACKARD belonged to Teague stemming from his involvement & design success there - a silk purse from a sows' ear. I enjoy seeing the designs Teague had for Packard in comparison to his work done at AMC....... so........ is there lineage between a PACKARD Hawk and an AMC Eagle ? ;) Brien.
