am I thinking right here?

Hi all
I need to buy tires for my 1973 Matador. From the factory in 1973, the
three original tire options with outside diameters were: E60/15
(25.50"), FR70/14 (26.18"), and E78/14 (26.00")
as a total aside ... strange isn't it? ... that the only radial tire
available from the factory was the 70 series?
the aluminum rims I have are 15" x 7.5" I'm not looking for
over-the-edge performance here nor am I looking for original equipment.
I do want them to look more or less normal. For tires that are close to
26" O.D. and have their maximum rim width be 7.5", the size 215/65 is
where I end up.
searching through tirerack.com leads me to the following two tires which
sort of stand out to me:
the Michelin Pilot Exalto and the Bridgestone Potenza G009.

can you see anything wrong with my thinking here? or do you have any
input for me?
thanks
Doug
