Yes, when you get it please post a link to pics! If you don't have a site to post to go to www.photobucket.com and get a free account. There is an MSN groups account where listers were posting, but I've given up on it. You're now required to use the MS Passport system, and it seems to fail more often than not. It used to work fine, now I can only sign in one in four times on weekends. There are several of us reasonably knowledgeable on the older cars. The best thing about them is some parts are still reasonably priced because of low demand, but the flip side is parts can be harder to find. TSMs are very reasonably priced, so thats' one of the first things you want to get. 56-61 are all mechanically similar, but a 58 , 60, or 61 TSM is what you really need. The cars are all structurally and mechanically the same those years, just a few minor changes other than sheet meatal skins. All glass area is the same. Ambassador is the same as classic from the firewall back, but the fenders, hood, and front frame rails are long -- there's an 8-9" stretch in wheelbase for the AMbo, and it's all between the front wheels and firewall. The 62 will interchange most parts also, but the lower front suspension is totally different. AMC started using ball joints for the lower that year which required new arms, steering knuckle, and crossmember. It's not worth finding one to s! wap out, the old lower trunnion is easily repalceable and readily available. The lower arm design on the earlier cars is actually better than the single arm and strut rod with ball joint design -- it just cost AMC more to produce after ball joints became common. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Independent Magazine" (AIM) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AIM.html (free download available!) Lots of 63, a few 62, not many, nearly no 61-earlier. For the big cars anyways; the Americans/Ramblers back to 59 seem to be around, but there's not even that many of those... How about some pictures of your old iron on a web page or sumptin?
