Mark, from my own experience with the fender gussets, if they are really that rusty cut them off and just make new ones from galvanized. Get some 18 gauge and don't worry about the original shape. In fact, I'd make the flat with a double bent edge 1/2"-1" tall, but pointing DOWN so nothing can get trapped on top. Install at a slight downward sloping angle, just enough to allow water to run off. I'm working from memory here, but I believe that will work. Might take a little work to hide it under the fender near the firewall, but I don't think so. I had to repair mine where it welds to the firewall and a small hole in the center. I've looked at them and with the fenders off they can be cut out very easily with a sawzall. Not that I'm trying to get them cheap. I just want to honestly buy a pair to speed the rust repairs up on this car. With the firewall corners, wiper area and floors to fix this will turn into a very long term project if I can't get some pieces to help it along. I'm going to try and get a look at the flood cars troughs, but I have little hope they are worth anything as the fender tops were rusted through and plated over on it. > -- > Mark Price > markprice242ATadelphia.net > Morgantown, WV ============================================================= Posted by wixList Archiver -- http://www.amxfiles.com/wixlist
