I wasn't being fecetious - The American and Mustang aren't to far off dimensionally, and I've seen skins altered to fit other vehicles. The 58-63 American skin, for example, is close enough to the dimensions of a two door K-car (the later stretched platform) that it could be done. I was just thinking it would have been a tremendous amount of work to "save" a "Mustang" -- as it really wouldn't be a Mustang afterwards. Maybe if a Falcon body were used...
