If you have access to an 80-88 AMC car please do the following: Write down the trim and model number, seat type (bucket, individual reclining... I think those were the only two choices by then), seat material (velour, cloth, vinyl, leather), and seat color. For the model number decoding I'll need the year, body style, and trim level (DL, Limited, etc.). I would appreciate ALL the door tag numbers, even the final assembly number, but the two in the subject are the most needed. The model and trim numbering system changed in 1981 or 82. I believe it was 1982, but I don't have any 1981 samples to go by. I'm creating a spread sheet with samples from 1955-88. If you want to send your info from pre 1980 cars, I'll incorporate that into the spread sheet also. -- Frank Swygert Publisher, "American Independent Magazine" (AIM) For all AMC enthusiasts http://farna.home.att.net/AIM.html (free download available!)
