If anyone remembers Don Childs from AMCRC in Ohio, this is where these cars are from. Don passed away a year or two ago. Looks like his brother is cleaning things up (I don't recall that he had a son, and adopted Korean daughter). He made it possible for me to attend my first really big AMC show back in 91-93 by inviting me to stay with him. I was a young staff seargent and he was retired USAF. Had only talked to him on the phone a few times and corresponded by mail. Not only that, but he treated me to a tour of the USAF museum at Wright-Patterson. Insisted that I stay another day, couldn't miss the museum! He was a great guy, and had a yard full of cars. I bet the best ones have gone -- he had a large pole barn in the back yard full of cars, 15-20 at least, all in good condition that needed just a bit of work here and there to be great running cars. Lots of parts cars and cars in need or more attention around the place too, at least 10-15 more. Should be plenty good parts c! ars there cheap. Most will be 60's Ramblers, a few early 70s cars and Javelins. Wish I was closer! On January 11, 2006 eddiestakes wrote: > 1960's AMC Rambler Cars and Parts are being scrapped!
