Bob, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but only AMC spindles will bolt up. Check e-bay or post a message here. You mention 9" disc setup on the car, but I'm assuming you meant 9" drum. Any year AMC will work, but 79-83 Concord, Spirit, or Pacer discs are what you need. Those are the easiest and cheapest to get parts for. Earlier models are notably more expensive and hard to find -- some of the chain stores can't even get them, only one or two suppliers still carry the parts. You can also continue using your current master cylinder with the 2.6" piston 79-83 calipers. Just remove the residual pressure valve from the front brake portion of the master cylinder. Most earlier calipers require a master cylinder change due to larger bore caliper pistons. There are a couple alternatives, but they would be a lot more expensive than having the stock AMC parts shipped across the country. >From: Boboshut@xxxxxxx >Date: Tue, 27 Dec 2005 09:58:05 EST >Subject: Pacer Suspension: >To: matt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > >Hi: I have a 1950 willys pickup thats is in the process of a suspension >replacement from its original drop axle to an AMC 1979 Pacer suspension. >Being the Pacer is close to the width wheel base as the willys and has a >(4) bolt mounted crossmember it makes it an relative easy swap.
