Re: Carb info needed.

Ugh, beware trying to juggle BBD carb infernals; there are many, many tiny variations in castings, drillings, acc pumps, throttle shafts, etc etc as to be not worth the bother. ESPECIALLY if you're trying to do this with junkyard parts to save money.

25+ year old OEM, production, typically-maintained carburetors are pretty much crap; they're all worn out, and that's why you can find them in a junkyard. There are good ones of course -- but if you had one, you wouldn't be going through all these gyrations, right?

My advice, worth what you are paying for it -- consider this email an invoice :-) -- is to find a good, intact used carb and rebuild it or simply buy one. www.nationalcarburetors.com will sell you one with lifetime warranty for $150. Good deal!

None will bolt on Bill. You can get the carb from a late model Dodge Diplomat or Chrysler New Yorker with the 318 2V carb (rear drive, of course!) though. They use a BBD also. The thing is the 318 BBD has 1/16" bigger bores. You will need to use the base plate with the butterflies and the top from the Eagle carb, and just use the center section from the Chrysler model. The AMC base has the larger bores even though the venturii are smaller. Then everything will bolt right back on. You will likely want the non electronic version, so look for late 70s and very early 80s model Chrysler/ Dodge cars, pre 83 I believe.
