Glen; More chances than not the deer was still in shock, unless you did just nick it, and took off only to expire just inside the tree line where he felt safe and stopped running. Being injured like that he would be easy prey for dogs or big cats, maybe a bear. A large bird, such as an eagle, has even been known to harrass a deer on its last legs. Just be thankfull the deer didn't do a lot of damge to the car....Russ __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL ? Something to write home about. Just $16.99/mo. or less. dsl.yahoo.com
