The January 2006 issue of Cars & Parts magazine has an article "Market Street" by Eric Lawrence about the value of AMC muscle cars -- on page 16. He writes "in today's hyper inflated collectible car market, [AMCs] offer collectors on a budget, some real opportunities to own a genuine musclecar. They may not draw quite as big of a crown at car shows, but they do offer excellent performance at an attractive price." A graph shows the increasing values of the 68-70 AMX 390, the 69 CS Rambler, and the 70 Rebel Machine. Mr. Lawrence is also the editor of "The Black CPI Value Guide", an industry standard reference for the values of collectible and exotic automobiles. This short piece is a nice present for AMC enthusiasts! I got my copy for reference! This issue also has main articles about three Studebakers -- calling them ?Stylish Orphans? -- 1963 Avanti, 1952 Commander, and a 1963 Supercharged Lark. Great pictures and good reading! Chris Z.
