RE: An AMX in pieces / times they are a changing

I have to chime in on this and I also agree with John. If you watch current
car prices you will see that there are some great buys on some great
classics out there right now. I'm talking Auburns, Cords, Lincolns, ect. You
can buy a beautiful classic for less than the big engine muscle cars by far!
Why? The buying public that grew up with these cars are dieing off. There is
just simply less demand.
This will happen some day with muscle cars also, but it's a long way off.
Consider that I grew up in the heart of the muscle car era and I'm just
turning 50. There's a lot of years left for me and many others to go out and
relive our youth with a car. It's simply supply and demand, and right now
the demand for muscle cars is really high.
Take a scan through ebay at 55-57 T-birds. They are remarkably cheap for one
of the most stylish cars ever designed. Much less than many peoples SUV.
Why? Even that demographic is aging and the demand just isn't there like it
used to be.
The muscle car craze will run out with time. Just how much time remains to
be seen.
